I loved the movie ‘The Secret’. It was so exciting to witness manifestation principles making their way into mass awareness. I have been using the principles found in ‘The Secret’ for over twenty years now. No doubt that many of you have too. And, if you have, you may have noticed that the principles work a lot of the time, but not all the time. Well, if they work sometimes, why don’t they work all of the time?

I reflected upon that while reviewing my own life and had several insights.

If my desire was not to my highest good, it was difficult to manifest. When it didn’t manifest with ease, it was a sign that there was something higher for me. I had become so attached to having my outcome, that I was unwilling to ‘get it’ that the Universe had something even greater in store for me. Your Soul will always guide you towards the desires of your heart, but not always the desires of your ego. Ego desires are motivated by the pain and pleasure principle. Ego desires a certain outcome to avoid pain or to create pleasure. It knows nothing about true happiness.

Certain qualities or habits needed to be developed or lessons learned first. There were other times that my desire didn’t manifest in a timely manner, because there were qualities or habits that needed to be developed, or lessons that I needed to learn, first. If your heartfelt desire is to run and operate an empire, you will probably have to cultivate certain characteristics first and acquire specific knowledge along the way, before you can do that effectively.

I ignored guidance. On many occasions, I ignored the guidance of my loyal friend, the Whisper, who was trying to assist me in manifesting my outcome the joyful way. Rather than following the URGES (usually illogical), I pushed and forged ahead encouraged by the voices of my belief system that told me that my urges didn’t make sense, or that I shouldn’t stop. To stop would be to ‘give-up’ and one should never give up. I was choosing to trust the voices of the past, rather than the Whisper in the moment.

We have been conditioned to believe that if you only have enough willpower, and stick-to-it-ness, that you will eventually arrive at your desired outcome. And, that is very often the case, but sometimes only after a lot of struggle and pain. When something isn’t to our highest good, we will often encounter roadblocks as red flags causing us to ponder if what we think we want, is what we really want.

Recently, I had so many projects on the table that I didn’t know where to focus my energy and action. So, I went inside to ask for guidance and immediately heard the words, “Magnetize love!” My ego retorted with, ‘Magnetize love? How is that going to help me know where to focus? And, how do I do that anyway?’

Despite the voice of my ego, I became still and started feeling for my ‘inner body’. (Eckhart Tolle talks about the’ inner body’ in his books.) Shortly, I felt warmth in my hands. Heat began to move up my arms. My whole body became unusually warm and my Being began to expand. I no longer felt constricted. My attention had moved from of my head to my inner being. I felt light, free, and liberated from my thoughts.

While in this state, a spontaneous image popped into my mind. It was a valentine, but made of flesh, as if it were a human heart. Seeds were being planted in the heart. The longer I focused on the image of the heart, the more energy was generated. After about nine minutes, I was no longer concerned about which projects to focus on. The stress about all of them had dissolved. It felt as if it was no longer necessary to decide what to focus on, that the issue would take care of itself.

So, here’s the ultimate secret. When you magnetize LOVE, everything takes care of itself.

Within twenty-four hours, the phone started ringing and people started telling me what they needed. And, in that, I had the answer to my question. I would focus on what the people wanted.

That day, I learned that to manifest anything is to put the focus on love. The form of whatever it is you wish to manifest will appear, and it may appear quiet rapidly.

There is nothing to figure out. The universe tells you what to do by what you attract into your life. Sounds simple, doesn’t it? It is! The institutions of religion, education, and government have conditioned us to believe many things that are not true; one being that life is hard. We have been conditioned with a work ethic that enslaves us to the system. Therefore, most of us came to believe that it takes hard work to have what we want.

To transcend indoctrination, and to know the truth about the simplicity of life, one must go inward and trust the intuitive impulses of guidance within over the voices of the external world.

We’ve been conditioned to use willpower to forge ahead and to follow a rigid, logical plan. Doing so is like walking up a mountain pulling a bolder behind us. Manifestation principles are discouraged, especially intuition. We are told that manifestation principles are not scientific, as if they need to be authorized by science in order to be valid or effective. Does everything have to be based on science? What about your own experience? Isn’t that good enough? If it works, why do you need science or anyone else to validate its effectiveness?

Most institutions slant information in the direction of what benefits those in power. We are at a time in our evolution where we do not have to act on unquestioned beliefs from authorities for fear of being burned at the stake or tortured. We no longer have to accept an authority’s word as truth.
